TERMS & CONDITIONS

By registering for the Enlightenment & Evolution Retreat (“Retreat”), participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions. These policies are strictly enforced and aligned with our venue partner’s requirements, with no exceptions made regardless of circumstance.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against unforeseen events.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Due to the limited capacity of the Retreat and contractual obligations with our venue partner, the following cancellation and refund policies apply. All dates referenced are based on the scheduled retreat start date.

Retreat tuition and lodging are booked and managed separately.
These Terms & Conditions apply only to retreat tuition.
Lodging rates and occupancy adjustments, including shared room changes, meals and on-site hospitality are managed exclusively by Mar de Jade and governed by their policies.

Group Leader Cancellation
In the unlikely event that the Enlightenment & Evolution Retreat is cancelled by the retreat organizer, no refunds will be issued for retreat tuition, deposits, or payments. Participants may choose to retain their lodging reservation at Mar de Jade as a personal vacation, apply their lodging deposit toward another retreat occurring during the same dates, or use their lodging deposit as a credit toward a future stay at Mar de Jade within 18 months of the original retreat date.

If a participant elects not to attend following a retreat cancellation, the standard guest cancellation policy outlined below will apply.

Guest Cancellation Options
If a participant cancels their retreat registration, they may choose one of the following options, based on the timing of their written cancellation notice:

REFUND (Retreat Tuition Only)
▪︎ Participants are entitled to a full refund of retreat tuition minus a $250 per person administrative cancellation fee if written notice is received at least 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
▪︎ The administrative fee applies only when a monetary refund is issued and covers administrative, processing, and operational costs.
▪︎ For cancellations made 59 days or fewer prior to arrival, no monetary refunds will be issued.

CREDIT (Retreat Tuition Only)
▪︎ Participants cancelling at least 14 days prior to arrival may apply 100% of their retreat tuition as a credit toward a future Enlightenment & Evolution Retreat occurring within 18 months of the original retreat start date.

▪︎ No administrative fee is applied when a credit is issued, as no refund processing occurs.
▪︎ Once the credit option has been selected, no monetary refund will be issued.
▪︎ No credit or refund is available for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival.

Administrative Fee Clarification
The administrative cancellation fee applies only when a refund of retreat tuition is issued and covers administrative and processing costs. No administrative fee is charged for credits, transfers, or forfeited payments. Administrative fees related to lodging, meals, or accommodations are separately administered by Mar de Jade and governed by their policies.

Additional Cancellation Terms

Non-Transferable Registration
Retreat registration is issued to the individual named at the time of purchase and is non-transferable.
▪︎ A participant may not sell, gift, assign, or otherwise transfer their retreat spot to another person. Finding a replacement participant does not alter eligibility for refunds or credits under this policy.
▪︎ Participants are responsible for all nights reserved. There are no refunds or prorated adjustments for late arrivals, early departures, missed nights, or unused services.
▪︎ Once a credit has been issued, no monetary refund will be provided under any circumstances.

FORCE MAJEURE

In the event of force majeure — including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, epidemics, governmental restrictions, or any circumstance beyond the control of the retreat organizer or venue — no refunds will be issued.

Any retreat services unable to be delivered due to force majeure may, at the discretion of the retreat organizer, be issued as a credit toward a future Enlightenment & Evolution Retreat within 18 months, subject to availability.

Participants are responsible for any expenses incurred as a result of retreat disruption, including travel, accommodations, and meals. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

HEALTH & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Participants affirm that they have no physical or medical conditions that would adversely affect their ability to participate in the Retreat or remain at Mar de Jade.

Participation is entirely at the attendee’s own risk. Higher Brain Living LLC, Source Code Meditation, The New Human University, Dr. Michael Cotton, and Mar de Jade are not liable for injury, illness, loss, or damage incurred while traveling to or participating in the Retreat.

All participants assume the inherent risks associated with travel and retreat participation.

MODIFICATION OF TERMS
The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, update, or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any such changes will become effective immediately upon posting or written notification. Continued participation in the Retreat constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.

By registering for the Enlightenment & Evolution Retreat, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions outlined above.
